Ogre Battle - The March of the Black Queen

If you are up for a challenge...
Review By Incadio

Despite what others have said this is a great game. But other reviewers are correct in saying that this is a very challenging game.

In this game you get to control a large army and try to overthrow an evil empire. Your army can consist of a variety of characters which range from a holy seraphim or paladin to an evil lich or devil. The fighting takes place on large maps where you have to try and capture the enemy base. The fighting is done by units that consist of 3 to 5 characters. One cool thing about this game is that you can choose to be good or evil, although the first time you play this game you will probably be evil simply because it is very hard to have a holy army. The game was very well thought out in that their are many many factors that can effect your characters and the endings of the game.

Most people that did not like the game did not like the fighting system and have said that it takes too long, but as long as you turn the animation off it should be fine for most gamers. Also most people that did not like the game say that enemies come in a ''congo line'' that is one after the other. This is true, but only for the first few levels.

One of the main challenges in the game is to try to create an army where no one unit has to do all the work, this is a lot harder than it seems. Another tough thing about the game is the alignment of the characters, this is if they are evil or holy. Certain characters cannot advance if do not have proper alignment for their class.

This game also has a great plot, it involves many characters and the multiple endings. The multiple ending are generally decided on what route you take to beat the game, things that can effect the ending are you reputation, alignment, characters that join you're quest and the number of stages you completed to finish the game. It is recommended that you beat all the stages so you can get all the special characters that will pretty much smoke anything that comes their way.

Over all this is a truly great game that requires a lot of thinking and hard work to beat. So if you are up for a challenge give this game a try.
